La Fabuloserie, art hors-les-normes – art brut
The Fabuloserie was opened in 1983 by Alain Bourbonnais, in the barns of his country house in Dicy in the Yonne, to house his collection. It is not a museum as we could call it but a cabinet of curiosities – "Ali-Baba's cave", as Michel Ragon says. A place of the imagination, of rediscovered childhood, where works of art "hors-les-normes" (Art brut) are gathered (Art brut). Their creators do not come from art schools but rather from factories and fields. They have transcended their daily lives by realizing their wildest dreams with broken objects, old toys, wool, wire, driftwood… It is invention in freedom, a world where everything is surprising, unusual, strange and authentic.

Le Fabuleux Manège de Petit Pierre
The story of Petit Pierre's merry-go-round and its preservation is as fascinating and touching as the character himself. Pierre Avezard, known as Petit Pierre, a cow boy, crippled, deaf and practically mute, but a poet and mechanic of genius, built with his own hands, with pieces of scrap metal, a fabulous merry-go-round, unique, a fairyland of automatons and surprises, which attracted families from all over his region. A true epic, told in this book, thanks to which everyone can once again marvel at the work of Petit Pierre.
